Read Section 0.3.
All of this material should be familiar to you, but note that you do not need to memorize any facts about conic sections. (Indeed, conic sections are not a major topic of this course.)
I will review the most important parts of this material in class, and give you guidance in class about what you need to remember about trigonometry.
